Intake valves that control the flow of gas to the combustion chamber made up of a mixture of fuel and air. Exhaust valves that control the flow of high-temperature gas generated within the combustion chamber. Both of these types of valves require strength, wear-resistance, corrosion-resistance and oxidization-resistance in the face of extreme temperatures.
By making the frame hollow and injecting it with sodium to act as a coolant, these valves are able to withstand high temperatures. There are 2 types of hollow valves. Stem hollow valve, which the stem of the valve is hollow and Full hollow valve, which the hollow part is expanded to the head part. Light-weight and strong titanium compounds are used to satisfy the requirements of high performance, low fuel consumption and silent operations. These are produced for use in normal cars available on the open market through to racing cars.
These are attached to the groove at the end of the valve frame, joining the the valve to the retainer. These products are manufactured by cold-forming, which is then followed by surface treatment, quenching and tempering, which enables them to maintain their wear-resistance when in contact with other parts. Because the inside is pliant, it helps them mold themselves to the shape of other parts to make them perfect for joint applications.
It works to transmit force from the valve spring to the valve through the cotter. Having developed an aluminum retainer for weight reduction, we have also succeeded in developing a light-steel retainer with comparable performance characteristics, which permits further weight reduction, reducing plate thickness and size.
These components work together with the valve to open and close routes in order to suck in the mixture of fuel and air, and to ventilate the combustion gas exhaust. They are also requested to be wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and oxidization-resistant, including high levels of thermal conductivity.
